At Australian Funeral Plan, we encourage you to document any specific wishes as part of your pre-paid or pre-planned arrangements, so everything is clearly recorded and understood ahead of time. If military honours are important to you, we can note these preferences and guide you through what may be eligible at the time, including elements such as the presentation of the Australian flag, The Last Post, a minute’s silence, and other recognised ceremonial tributes coordinated with the appropriate defence or veteran services.
When a person passes away, their death is registered with the relevant authorities, and the official death certificate is then issued by the government registry. Once it’s ready, it’s provided to the family so they can take care of any important legal and administrative matters.
